LHA Six Steps to Restoration

Goal Component

                Student Expectations

Academic Goal

Student must demonstrate an 80% or greater improvement in academic performance or consistently maintain passing grades from the time of entry into the program.

Attendance Goal

Student must be physically present at school for a minimum of 45 days to fulfill program requirements.

Discipline Goal

Student must demonstrate an 80% or greater reduction in office referrals or maintain the same level of positive behavioral performance prior to entering the program. Student must refrain from engaging in the behavior(s) that led to their placement.

Counseling/SEL Goal

Student must fully participate in at least 80% of the daily Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) sessions offered. If enrolled in a licensed therapy program, students must meet all program stipulations and attend 100% of all scheduled therapy sessions.

Parent/guardian involvement

Parents or guardians commit to ongoing communication with the alternative school administration and demonstrate a commitment to supporting behavioral changes in their child through family involvement within the school community. Parents will successfully attend and engage in 3 of the 4 scheduled ReThink, ReFOCUS, and ReIMAGINE planning and review sessions

School-based Project/Restitution 

Students must successfully complete the assigned school-based community service project, restitution, and/or career workshops as assigned by the alternative school administration.
