Early Release Dates
Alternate Schedule for 2025-2026
Rationale:
Teachers in alternative schools are working with the most challenging students in CCSD. They serve our students because they care deeply about helping students to succeed. Our teachers do not receive any additional pay or extra contract days. Finally, the bell times for Liberty Hill are the last in the district. The students begin school at 8:30 am and school ends at 3:30 pm, which is a 7 hour school day which does not provide time for teacher / staff to engage in meaningful PD.
Approved Plan:
Continue with the 7 hour day at LHA and implement an early release one day a week (Wednesday). This school will submit a Professional Development plan for each of the early release days.
The early release would be:
- Wednesday at 1:00 PM
- No early release on a week with a district early release, e-learning day, or holiday
